Making Your Tough Climb to the Top a Little Easier

The leadership journey can be a tough climb for sure. Sometimes you feel like you’re stuck in a spiral not getting where you want to go.

But it can be an inspired journey that takes you to places you’ve never imagined when you commit to taking one step at a time and getting out of your comfort zone.

This episode was inspired by Gayle Lantz’s recent trip to the Adriatic Coast in Europe.

It features reflections on her Florence, Italy Duomo climb, one of the most memorable highlights.

She shares leadership insights suggesting that as a leader, you must take one step at a time, catch your breath and keep moving.

You don’t really know what’s around each corner, but you have to keep positive expectation as you go along.

It’s part of a greater life journey of learning and exploration if you choose to see it that way.

Leadership is not always about outcomes or incomes.

It’s about self-discovery that enables you to be at your best, to influence others because of who you are–not just what you do. You lead from a place of values having done the internal work needed to be the capable and impactful leader you are.

This episode covers:

  • Key insights about the leadership journey as a life journey
  • The importance of positive expectation
  • Three practical ideas to make the most on your leadership climb
  • Leadership as a vehicle for personal/spiritual growth
