A client expressed disappointment about his business hitting a summer slump.
But fortunately, he’s not letting it get the best of him.
While a lull in business can be disconcerting, it’s good to remember that ebb and flow in business is a normal pattern – a common business cycle.
And it can actually be a good thing.
When your business falls flat, here are some reminders to keep you going:
- If you’re constantly operating at high speed, it’s likely you’ll burn out.
- Down time can help you do other things you really need to do – like think more strategically, create new value, research your market, etc.
- It’s easier to make a turn when you’re not going at high speed.
- It’s only temporary.
Don’t panic. Make the adjustments you need to make to get back on the road when it’s time.
What are you doing to make the most of any down time in your business?
