Losing Focus?

Lately I’ve heard a lot of complaints from people who aren’t staying focused.

“I’m all over the place.”

“I’ve got so many distractions.”

“I can’t get anything done.”

They claim they need to focus, but when I ask about what they need to focus on, they hesitate. They’re not sure.

Being busy is a good way to avoid the effort of choosing your focus. It does take a little work, because by choosing a focus, you have to tune out other things.

You’re making a conscious decision.

It’s like putting blinders on the racehorse. You can run faster and accomplish more when you don’t allow distractions on the side to influence you.

Since you’re still reading this, NOW is a good time to purposely choose your focus – at least for today.

Maybe you’ve been distracted trying to take in too much information. Or you’ve been searching for new ideas or solutions to help you grow your business or your career. Or you’ve just had too many interruptions.

What is your most important focus for today?

At the end of the day, what would be most satisfying for you to have accomplished?

Be specific. Determine the actions you will take by when.

When you’re clear about your focus, take FAST ACTION. Do something to move you forward within the next five minutes. You’ll gain stronger momentum.

Put your blinders on and run as far and fast as you can today.

It takes practice to focus well.

The sharper your focus, the better your results — if you’re focused on the right things.

What’s your FAST ACTION item for the day?
