Boost Business Momentum

Sometimes it might seem as though you’re moving fast, but the business is moving slowly.  All businesses go through cycles. When times are tough, people often say, “Give it time, things will turn around.” While there may be some truth to that, that’s not acceptable to motivated leaders who want to be “doing something” now to get better results.

If you’re like me, you probably have many interests and ideas on how to grow your business.  One idea leads to another. Your brain keeps working even after you do. (Just last night I woke up in the middle of the night remembering that I left my credit card at a restaurant!)

Focus on just one business building idea consistently for a week to see how much momentum you can gain by doing that. You’ll likely make better progress that way instead of trying to deal with everything on your plate at once.

By the way, if you want more practical ideas on how to boost your business momentum, my good friend and colleague, Dan Coughlin, has just released a great new book you’ll want to get. It’s called Accelerate: 20 Practical Lessons to Boost Business Momentum (Kaplan Publishing) and is available wherever books are sold.
